(The craziest challenges) Since training with Paulo I’ve lost over 18kgs and dropped 2 dress sizes and am probably the fittest, strongest and healthiest that I’ve been in my life.

I’ve been training with Paulo for over 8 years now and what a great 8 years it’s been! I’d had various PTs in the couple of years before I found him and had thought was I was reasonably fit and was fairly good at a lot of the normal exercises….I was proved wrong in my first session with Paulo. He is very focused on making sure your technique is right, which is obviously crucial to make sure you train your muscles properly and don’t get injured. Unfortunately it seemed my previous PTs didn’t have quite such a good attention to detail and I soon discovered that I wasn’t quite as strong or fit as I’d thought once I was doing the exercises correctly!!

Since then I’ve come on leaps and bounds. I’ve always said I wasn’t so bothered about what the scales said, and was more concerned about how my clothes fit and how I feel about my body, but since training with Paulo I’ve lost over 18kgs and dropped 2 dress sizes and am probably the fittest, strongest and healthiest that I’ve been in my life….the results speak for themselves!

No two sessions with Paulo are ever the same, he’s always keen to know what your goals are, whether you’re training for anything in particular and what you want to focus on and adapts the session to suit this. Whether I’ve been training for climbing Kilimanjaro, running marathons, doing triathlons or just trying to improve my fitness for playing hockey, Paulo has always made sure that the sessions fit with my goals and spends a large amount of time outside the weekly hour we spend together planning and researching. He also gives great advice on nutrition, recovery, stretching etc and has really helped me to make sure my diet and everything else that I do complements my training and enables me to achieve my goals.

Most importantly training with Paulo is always fun and motivating. Even when you think you’ve done as much as you can he encourages you to push on in a friendly but firm manner and really helps you get the maximum out of your training sessions. I think you’d be hard pushed to find another PT who is as dedicated, motivating and also such a genuinely nice guy so book a starter session without delay! :-)
